The terms of the Quikmail Etc text message program — what we send, how often, and how to stop.
Program name: Quikmail Etc customer service text messages.
Quikmail Etc (334 East Bay Street, Unit G, Charleston, SC 29401) operates a customer service text message program for its mailbox customers. Quikmail Etc is a trade name of Fant Mail Company, LLC. By opting in, you agree to receive text messages from us at the mobile number you provided. These are transactional and service messages about your mailbox with us. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
We send only two kinds of message:
Example message: “Quikmail Etc: Hi Margaret, your mailbox 214 subscription ends in 7 days. Renew: quikmailetc.com/r/… or call 843-723-6598. Reply STOP to opt out.”
Consent is optional and is not a condition of any purchase or of mailbox service. Decline, and we will contact you by phone or email instead. There are four ways to opt in, and each records your consent before we text you:
Online sign-ups are confirmed by text. We send one message asking you to reply YES, and we send reminders only after you do. If you do not reply, you will not receive reminders by text. For online sign-ups we keep a record of the date and time, the wording shown, the number, and your YES reply.
The unchecked box on the signed in-store form reads:
“I consent to receive text messages from Quikmail Etc as described above. I understand that consent is not required to make a purchase.”
The unchecked box on the website reads:
“Text me mailbox reminders (optional). By checking this box, I agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Quikmail Etc at the number above about my mailbox renewals and account, such as renewal reminders and requests for updated ID. Message frequency varies, up to 10 messages per renewal. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.”
Only the person who owns the mobile number may opt it in. If you give us a number you no longer use, or that belongs to someone else, tell us so we can correct it.
Message frequency varies with your account activity, up to 10 messages per renewal.
Message and data rates may apply. Messages are billed by your mobile carrier under your own plan; check with your carrier for details. Quikmail Etc does not charge for text messages.
Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
Text any of the following keywords to the number our messages come from. Keywords are not case sensitive.
| Reply | What happens |
|---|---|
| STOP | Stops all text messages from Quikmail Etc to your number. You will receive one confirmation message and then nothing further. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT do the same thing. |
| HELP | Replies with the name of the program and how to reach us: Quikmail Etc, (843) 723-6598. INFO does the same thing. |
| START | Resumes messages after you have opted out. UNSTOP does the same thing. |
| JOIN | Signs up the mobile number you texted from for mailbox reminders, if that number is on file for your mailbox. If we can't match it, we will tell you to call or stop in. |
You can also opt out by asking any member of our staff in the store, by calling (843) 723-6598, or by emailing quikmailetc@gmail.com. Opting out of text messages does not close your mailbox or cancel any service — we will simply reach you another way.
No mobile information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party except the messaging provider that delivers the messages on our behalf, and that provider may not use your number for any purpose other than delivering the messages you asked for.
How we handle the rest of your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and most other U.S. carriers, including their prepaid and MVNO brands. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and neither is Quikmail Etc. Delivery is subject to transmission by your carrier and to effective transmission from our messaging provider. Do not rely on a text message for anything time-critical — call the store if it matters.
If you change or give up your mobile number, please tell us, so that messages meant for you do not go to whoever gets the number next.
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to receive messages after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, reply STOP.
